Addison's foster care journey could have been a front page story. She was adopted from her home country of Ethiopia with the promise of a better life in America. After only a few years with her adopted parents - and not speaking the language - they placed her in the hospital, and then later, foster care.

Update: A lot of people have written to find out what happened to Addie and her brother. She posted in the comment section but I’m adding the text of her post here, as well. We both appreciate all the love that’s come her way.

Hey, everyone! It's Addison, and I just wanted to pop in here to express my immense gratitude for all the love and encouragement you've showered upon me. I'm doing fantastic, thanks to the man above! 🙌
Now, about my brother— he spent his childhood in a privately owned Group Home called children’s home from age seven until he turned 18 in March 2023. We were able to reunite, and it's been a heartwarming journey.
On the family front, I had an incredible opportunity in 2022 to return to Ethiopia after 15 years, reconnecting with my biological family and reuniting with them! 🌍
As for my adoptive parents, the last time I saw or heard from them was back in 2016, just before they gave up their parental rights. No contact since then.
If you're curious about what God is up to in my life, stick around! I've got a book and a YouTube channel launching in 2024. Your love and support mean the world to me!
Remember, no matter the current circumstances, God is always in control, and He'll never leave you hanging. Trust in Him, and remember His timing is always perfect. Thanks again for all your love and encouragement! 💖✨
