I spend a week with the 2020 Buick Encore GX in its Essence FWD trim and find that it's a mostly pleasant little crossover to daily drive for the average commuter, with a comfortable ride, light steering and average power. The main problem with the Encore GX is its price, with this front wheel drive Essence trim having an as-tested price of $33,465. Buick does usually offer large discounts, so whether or not the Encore GX will be a good value will come down to the discount you get. But at its MSRP, it makes no sense when there's other competitors with more power, more luxury and more tech for much less money. What do you think of the Buick Encore GX?
