The rise of persecution of Christians in these end times is an horrendous, shocking travesty that is not mentioned much in the mainstream media. Churches burned, Christians hated, mutilated and killed, ..Christian believers are the most persecuted religious group in the world. According to certain groups like Voice of the Martyrs, Open Doors Ministries, Pew Research Index and others, at least 200 million Christians worldwide suffer under heavy/severe persecution, punishment, hatred and brutality. Either through oppressive state regimes like communistic/atheistic governments (ie: China, North Korea) or militant religious societies visa vie certain Islamic countries who've pronounced "jihad" and extreme 'sharia law' or militant Hindus in India.

The scripture reminds us in (2 Timothy 3: 12), "Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution." As well in (2 Corinthian 4: 8-10), "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body." And (John 15: 18) declares, "If the world hates you, you know that hated Me before it hated you." So part of a believers life will have persecution, for it comes in many forms. It is for us to stand strong in the face of such things; keeping the faith and simply continue to abide in Jesus and His Word; knowing that what we suffer down here on this side of Heaven, does not compare to what lays beyond the Veil and Golden Shores of Glory!

We must pray for our brothers and sisters in the Lord around the world who are being brutally persecuted, attacked, beaten, reviled, and systematically exterminated. All because they believe & follow Jesus.
