Immigrant mothers often lack adequate social support and access to health care services with breastfeeding supports that are affordable, accessible, need-based and culturally/gender-sensitive. This video presents breastfeeding challenges and recommendations of immigrant mothers in Saskatchewan, Canada on ways to promote, protect and support their breastfeeding practices. This knowledge mobilization video was co-developed with the immigrant women in Saskatchewan who are breastfeeding and mothering young children. This user-friendly e-resource developed in partnership with the “patient partners” aligns with IHDCYH’s mandate of informing policies and translating evidence-based knowledge to the key stakeholders with the goal of improving the breastfeeding practices of immigrant mothers in Saskatchewan, Canada. Researcher anticipate that healthcare professionals, lactation consultants, psychologists, policy makers, social workers, and settlement workers providing direct and indirect care to immigrant mothers will utilize this evidence-based and user-friendly e-resource to promote, protect and support breastfeeding practices of the immigrant mothers in Saskatchewan, Canada.
