Hi, guys today in the kitchen we will be making Punjabi Style Onion Paratha. Pyaz ka paratha with Dhaniya Chutney and Garam Chai is a combination that is perfect for a winter breakfast. Onion has a sharp taste but many find it difficult to prepare a paratha stuffed with grated onion.

Recipe

INGREDIENTS -
2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 tsp Carom Seeds
1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Salt (as per taste)
2 Green Chilis (1 tsp, Chopped)
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
1 Cup Onion (Chopped)
1 tsp Refined Oil
1 Cup Water (for kneading)
1 Cup Desi Ghee (as required)

Method:
1. To make Parathas, first we will prepare the dough. We’ll take 2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour in a bowl.

2. Add 1/2 tsp Carom Seeds, 1/2 tsp Red Chili Powder, One generous pinch of salt (1 tsp as per taste), 1 tsp finely chopped Green Chilis, 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder, We’ll mix this nicely.
We’ll add 1 Cup Chopped Red Onions, add 1 tsp Refined Oil. Mix well.

3. And now we’ll pour water into it (1 Cup as required). Knead it into a soft dough. Now we’ll rest the dough for 10 mins.

4. Then we’ll take small portions of the dough. Make it into round balls. We’ll take a dough ball and spread it. Apply dry flour on both sides of the ball. Roll it into round shape.

5. Take a non stick pan (Tava). Cook the parantha on the medium heat. Let’s turn it around. Now we spread Ghee over the surface and after that just turn it over. Spread Ghee on the other side too.

6. Using a spoon, gently press the sides of the Parantha. Pyaz ka Parantha is ready. We will take it out in a plate. Quickly plate this with Coriander Chutney.
