Heere Heere is our tribute to the inspirational spirit of legendary songstress Surinder Kaur of Punjab. Her folk classic, “Mainu Heere Heere Akhe” with poetry by the legendary Shiv Kumar Batalvi has been rendered by several artists in different ways over the decades. Ours is an ballad to beauty & celebrates the shringar rasa. We’ve introduced a bit of Hindi into the mix & the antaras have been written afresh with just the heart coming from the original first line; Mainu Heere Heere.. The acoustic guitar riff that binds the song together is Ram’s way of connecting it to Ambarsariya & rekindling a fresh, romantic vibe that’s not heard often these days. The video features the incredible Kuchipudi danseuse Pujita Chivukula who has also choreographed the fusion dance & has Sona styled by the haute couture house of Anand Kabra in Hyderabad. This video is shot in the glorious Farzi Cafe.
