Years ago I was very very angry and had a lot of rage inside. I knew it wasn’t good to hurt people with my anger so I thought I express it in a healthy way by being aggressive with non-living things like walls chairs tables and tensing up my entire body to try to release it. It didn’t work. It actually made it worse.

The reason why is because all I was doing was finding new ways of expressing my anger instead of actually learning how to release my anger.

The way to release my anger was the way to release all my other fears. It was to feel the sensation of those emotions inside of my body and surrender to them.

I’ve suffered from being an angry person internally for most of my life and only showing it with my girlfriends and whenever I was drunk.

I used to get angry every day and whenever I got angry, I will stay upset for a couple days before I went away.

I’ve gotten angry maybe five times in the last three years. And that was shown by a few moments of yelling. All other disagreements and conflicts were dealt with clear communication and calmness.
