STORYLINE:
1. At the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron of the Republic of France, President Aleksandar Vučić of the Republic of Serbia and President Tamás Sulyok and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán of Hungary, President Xi Jinping will pay state visits to France, Serbia and Hungary from May 5 to 10. Could you elaborate on the agenda and what is China’s expectation for the visit? (Questions 1 to 5 are the same)

This will be the first visit by the Chinese president to Europe in the past five years. It is of great significance to the overall development of China's relations with France, Serbia and Hungary, as well as with Europe as a whole, and will inject new momentum to the peaceful development of the world.

2. During the visit, President Xi Jinping will meet with President Macron. They will have an in-depth exchange of views on China-France and China-Europe relations as well as international and regional hotspot issues of common concern, and the two heads of state will also attend events somewhere other than Paris.

3. China looks forward to working with the French side to take this visit as an opportunity to uphold the fine tradition, actively look to the future, further consolidate political mutual trust, strengthen unity and cooperation, and promote China-France comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level, inject new momentum into the healthy and stable development of China-EU relations, and make new contributions to peace, stability and development and progress of the world.

4.The in-depth development of China-Serbia relations is in line with the fundamental and long-term interests of the two countries and peoples and is conducive to safeguarding international justice and promoting regional and world peace and stability. During the visit, President Xi Jinping will hold talks with President Vucic to have an in-depth exchange of views on China-Serbia relations and international and regional issues of common concern, explore the enhancement of the positioning of China-Serbia relations, and chart a course for the future development of bilateral relations.

5. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary, and this landmark visit will push bilateral relations to a new level, open a new chapter for China-Hungary friendship and cooperation, inject new momentum into the development of China-Europe relations, and inject more stability and positive energy into the turbulent world.

6. Recently, U.S. President Joe Biden signed into law a package of foreign military aid bills that contain negative provisions related to China. What are China's comments on this?

The U.S. insists on passing and signing the foreign military aid bill, which contains negative content related to China. China firmly opposes this and has made solemn complaints to the U.S. side.
We urge the U.S. to respect China's core interests and major concerns and not to implement the negative China-related provisions of the above-mentioned bill. If the U.S. is bent on having its own way, China will take resolute and strong measures to firmly defend its sovereignty, security and development interests.

7. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told media last Friday that the U.S. has seen evidence of China's attempts to influence and interfere in the U.S. election and hopes China will give up such attempts as soon as possible. What is China's comment on this?
