Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Round, Pipe Mount Swivel Jack with Footplate, rated at 7,000 pounds. This jack is gonna be a great replacement or addition to any trailer that already has a pipe mount, or if it has a frame that's large enough to weld on a pipe mount, this also comes with it. Now, this would go on the outside of your jack mount, but you can also go on the inside diameter like we have here today. We already had our welded-on pipe, so this slides on there with no problem. And the great part about these swivel pipe jacks is the storage feature on these, and that allows you to get this nice and tight and away from the ground as you're going down the road.

The stowed position is really nice compared to a lot of the jacks out there because, a lot of times when I'm towing, even if I draw it up all the way, I do always wonder if it's gonna bottom out, especially going up any hills or inclines. And that's not the case here because when it's in the stowed position, it's really far up. We do have our handle here that is gonna want to drop down a little bit, but this is still better than a jack that would be drawn up. And included and already mounted on the jack is gonna be this chain with our pin attached to it, and that way it's always gonna be attached to the jack. So whenever you're ready to hook it up or move your jack, you'll have this handy.

And when choosing a jack, you can get a top wind or a side wind. The side wind that we have here today is really great for an application like this. We don't have anything in the way of us spinning this around, where sometimes your top-mounted jacks, if you had anything loaded here, it's gonna get in the way. So it's really nice having the sidewinder here. Makes it super easy to raise and lower our trailer.

Now it does take quite a bit of rotation, but this is kind of nice because it's gonna allow you to really get it fine tuned exactly where you need it. And this handle, it spins around, makes it nice and easy. We also have zinc-coated handle as well, so that's gonna hold up to elements long term. A lot of your trailers are gonna live outside, and this one's no different. So, we also have that powder coat finish to help protect against that.

And all of the other hardware is gonna be zinc coated. Now, as we lower this down, we can take a look at the foot plate which is welded on already. Sometimes you'll have removable ones. That's not the case here, but the foot plate is rather large, making it a great surface to jack up your trailer. Even if it's slightly, you know, rocky or not perfectly flat. this is quite a bit of a footprint for it to really get a flat part of ground. When it comes to the dimensions of the foot plate, it comes in at 8 by 6. So, again, that's pretty large compared to some of the other ones out there on other jacks. This jack is relatively short, but it does have a decent amount of extension. If you're choosing this for your trailer, you're gonna want to measure from the center of your pipe mount or where you're gonna mount it up. And this, fully extended, is gonna be 20 5/8. So, from here to the ground, that's a good spread. So that should cover a lot of different trailers. And what's nice, too, is when it is fully retracted, it's a pretty small footprint, so that's gonna make it nice and easy for storage purposes. So, when fully retracted, you're looking at 10 3/8 from center of the pipe mount jack to the bottom of the foot plate. For our small little camper that we have this on today, this is probably overkill because this is pretty heavy duty. As far as lift capacity goes, it's 7,000 pounds, so this can raise weight pretty easily, and it can support up to 8,000. So while it might might be overkill for a trailer, that's not necessarily a bad thing on any jacks, but this can really be used for a bunch of different trailer applications. Just make sure that your trailer isn't going over that weight capacity. Maintenance on the jack is super easy because we have a built-in zerk fitting already onto the side, so you'll be able to pump some grease in there whenever you need to. And that was a look at the Round, Pipe Mount Swivel Jack with Footplate, rated at 7,000 pounds.
