The new 2024 BMW i5 is an incredible electric vehicle that combines luxury, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology. The all-electric i5, will be available in two variants with the BMW i5 M60 xDrive which will represent the top of the range, with an output of 601 hp and performance and style typical of M cars. All-wheel drive is provided by two electric motors, one at the front and the other at the rear. Activating M Sport Boost or launch control, the torque generated by the two motors reaches 820 Nm, allowing the i5 M60 xDrive to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 230 km/h. The cockpit of the new i5 features an increased level of digitalisation with fewer physical buttons, more functions controlled by the BMW Curved Display, here in its version with 12.3-inch instrument screen and 14.9-inch infotainment. The steering wheel has also been redesigned. In addition to the new flat lower section, it also has new control panels on the spokes with haptic feedback. In terms of driver assistance systems, the new BMW i5 offers the Driving Assistant Professional as an option, which includes steering and lane control assistance and Distance Control with Stop & Go function. Included in the markets of the United States, Canada and Germany is the Highway Assistant, which autonomously manages the steering up to a speed of 130 km/h.
