You would think booking last minute tickets would be the cheaper option, right? Well usually that is not the case. Buying tickets last minute is seen as «desperate», so airline soften rise the prices closer to departure, knowing that those who really need that ticket, is going to pay for it no matter the price. Booking far in advance is therefore normally better.
