Aston Martin hasn’t really provided remanufactured or replacement engines for the V8 Vantage or DB9 since about 2019. So what happens if you have a serious engine problem and you find that a factory remanufactured engine would be a better solution than rebuilding, because the parts and labour costs to rebuild a seriously damaged engine would exceed the cost of a remanufactured engine - if the factory were making them.

In this video Mike explains that purchasing an unknown condition secondhand engine might not be wise, because if that engine requires rebuilding, the cost of buying the engine from the seller, costs of parts and labour, might actually exceed rebuilding your own seriously damaged V8 or V12 engine
