I know, you have heard of it... and you may have never gotten around to making it from scratch, so what's the next best thing...

Introducing my new fave product -- Progressive's Bone Broth Powder!

SO SIMPLE!

If you are interested in a recipe to make your own bone broth, try this one from my cookbook:

INGREDIENTS
• ½ onion
• 1 leek
• Leftover carcass/bones from a 4 to 6 lb whole chicken
• 3 carrots
• 3 celery stalks
• 1 handful fresh herbs (optional)
• 1-2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
• 1 tsp sea salt

DIRECTIONS
1. Place bones in Instant Pot and top with veggies, apple cider vinegar, and salt.
2. Add water until the pot is ⅔ full. If you have time, let the pot sit for 30 minutes so the vinegar can begin to pull minerals out of the bones. I almost never wait.
3. Select the Manual setting and set the pressure to Low, while increasing the cook time to 120 minutes.
4. After two hours, allow the Instant Pot to depressurize naturally.
5. Strain the broth and discard the bones and vegetables. Pour broth into glass mason jars and store in the fridge.
6. It will accumulate a good thick gelatin like fat layer while in the fridge, this is good. Do not discard when re-heating, it’s loaded with nutritional benefits.
7. Using within 10 days of preparing, or freeze for up to 3 months.
