Hey, TheThings fans - or should we say our ‘dearest viewers.’ In today’s video, we’re taking a trip back in time to an era of balls, courting, and very extravagant wardrobes. Or as you probably know it - the fictional world of Bridgerton in the year 1813.

If you’ve checked out Netflix’s Bridgerton, you can’t deny that their costume department is probably the best you’ve seen in a while. It made falling in love with Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke that much easier.

However, the question is, were the Bridgerton costumes easy for the cast to fall in love with? Maybe at first, but after they spent some time in those rib restraining corsets they definitely thought otherwise.

A lot of the cast was very vocal about their discomfort with the over 700 costumes that were made for season 1 of the series. From having to spend hours at a time in the fitting rooms to wearing crotchless bloomers, the actors definitely had to endure a lot to bring their characters to life.

You’ll be hearing from actors like Phoebe Dynevor, Nicola Coughlan and costume goddess herself Ellen Mirojnick on what the costume experience was behind the scenes.

By Bridgerton season 2 you’ll have a newfound respect for the entire cast and crew.

Would you be able to go hours at a time wearing a corset? What character do you think had the best wardrobe in the series? Come share all that 19th-century gossip with us in the comment section below. Thanks for watching.
