I went on a quick trek out in the woods, and ended up coming across some fatwood. Fatwood comes from the pine tree, where the resin in the pine settles to a concentrated area. The highest concentration of Fatwood is in the base or roots of the tree, or where branches meet the tree. The Fatwood burns almost like petroleum, it is a wonderdul for starting a fire.
