Well this was an amazing thing to do! I had so much fun, because we know very little about the first Targaryens who set foot on Westeros and therefore, I played a little with the story. Still, I tried to portray sisters as they are said to be: a very strong, wilful Visenya, and a bit lovelier Rhaenys. Also, I tried to show Rhaenys' strong connection to Meraxes, since it's well known she rode him more than her siblings did their dragons.
When it comes to relationship with their brother, Aegon: I portrayed a very lovable marriage between him and Rhaenys, since it's what I read about. But when it comes to Aegon and Visenya- here, I played a little. It's not as cold as it is in the books; It's a bit more complicated. There is a passionate love/hate they share, and it's what troubles Visenya much more than it does him. Rhaenys' death drove them both to the edge, and I hope I did it justice. The last words Visenya says: ''I agree to be with you. But one day, I will kill you'' mean that she blames him for all the horror they've been through.
The only ''other guy'' you see, is Orys Baratheon, who was rumored to be their half-brother.
