Drum Major Ian Esson leads Ballater & District Pipe Band on the march as they start their public display during the 2023 Aboyne Highland Games. These were held on a rather wet Saturday 5th August 2023 at Aboyne in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and the band were playing Father John MacMillan of Barra, Greenwood Side and The Atholl and Breadalbane Gathering.

Having formed in 1867, Aboyne is regarded as "The Traditional Highland Games" and continues to attract thousands of visitors to watch this wonderful display of Scottish culture in one of the most scenic parts of Aberdeenshire.
