I'm going to show you a simple way to lock your notes on any iPhone. This trick is super easy and adds an extra layer of security to your personal information. First things first, open up your Notes app. Look for the note you want to protect with a lock. This means each time you access it, you'll need to enter a passcode. Here's what you do: press and hold the note you want to lock. If your iPhone supports 3D Touch, press a bit harder on the note, and a menu will pop up.

From this menu, select "Lock Note." The steps might vary slightly depending on whether you're on iOS 16 or an earlier version. In iOS 16, you'll be taken to a new screen, but in iOS 15 and earlier, you might go straight to setting a password. You can either create a new passcode specifically for this note or use your iPhone's main passcode, which I recommend for simplicity.

To set a new passcode, tap "Create Password," then "Continue." Now, you'll enter the passcode you want for this note, verify it, and, if you wish, add a hint to help remember it. After you tap "Done," your note will be locked. From now on, accessing this note will require the passcode you've set.

And that's all there is to it! A quick and straightforward way to keep your notes safe and secure on your iPhone.
