I spent a week fishing in and around Bellaire, Michigan, and I caught a staggering number of brown trout, brook trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, and northern pike. In particular, I highly recommend you visit the Bear River Recreation Area (in Petoskey) and the Grass River Natural Area (south of Bellaire) if you have the chance.
