Ever since the last phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ended, there has been a giant, Marvel-shaped gap in our hearts and on our screens. Lucky for us, there are a ton of new Marvel projects in the works for the next couple of years. From all of the new Disney+ TV shows like WandaVision, and Loki, to movies like Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Widow, and of course, the third installment of the Tom Holland Spider-Man films. While we still just know it as Spider-Man 3, a recent unexpected announcement from Jamie Foxx has set the internet ablaze over just how much this upcoming movie might just change the MCU for good. See, Foxx announced over Instagram that he would be reprising the role of Electro, who we briefly met in 2014’s The Amazing Spider Man 2. While the movie and the character didn’t go off as well as they had hoped, Foxx’s announcement that he will be coming back -and that this time he will not be blue- brings up a ton of questions. The biggest of which is: is Marvel about to open up the Multiverse? Oh yeah, and in the photo that Foxx posted, we saw not one, but three versions of Spider Man. So suddenly, we can’t help but wonder: are we in for the Spider Man reunion of our dreams? Check out the video for all of the reasons why this next Spider Man movie might just be the most important MCU movie ever made.
