Get Your Free DRUM! Mag Pack ► https://pro.drummagazine.com/free-dru... Ludwig showed off the redesigned Speed King bass drum pedal at NAMM 2020. It’s true to the original but with modern advancements, like steel bearings at the connecting point between the heel plate and footboard, upgraded steel thickness, and protection on the claws for your bass drum hoops. It can be disassembled to fit into a nifty drawstring bag. The result is a beefier pedal for today’s modern mashers.

Also new is the special edition Digital Black Oyster finish in the Neusonic series, featuring a cherry/maple/cherry US-made 22” x 14” bass drum, 13” x 9” mounted tom, and 16” x 16” floor tom shell pack for a $999 street price.

And the Classic Oak series drew a crowd, including the “Spice Boys” (you never know who you’ll see at NAMM). The Classic Oak series is made with a 3-ply maple core and 1-ply of oak on the inside and outside of the shell to give it a matching interior and exterior look. It’s available in the dark brown Classic Smoke and lighter Tennessee Whiskey finishes.
