This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Heritage model.
What’s New for 2023? Two new Ford Bronco Sport Heritage models with vintage styling and Oxford White accents. There’s a unique white heritage grille featuring red Bronco lettering, a white roof, 17” Oxford White wheels, all-terrain off-road tires and some cool exterior colours like Robin’s Egg Blue and Hot Pepper Red.
Both Ford Bronco Sport Heritage and Heritage Limited models include interior touches such as Navy Pier cloth seats with plaid inserts and blue accent stitching. The Navy Pier colour was inspired by the cloth seats that were in Bronco in the 1980’s. Heritage Limited models upgrade to leather-trimmed seats and include Oxford White door inserts and unique centre console badging.
There are two powertrain options for the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage, a 1.5L Ecoboost engine with an 8 speed automatic transmission, 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. You’ll get about 670 km/416 miles with a full tank of gas. The second option which is only available on the top two trims is a 2L Ecoboost engine with 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. You’ll get about 592 km/368 miles with a full tank of fuel.
Standard features for the Ford Bronco Sport Heritage include, an 8” touchscreen with Sync 3, wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 4.2” instrument cluster, 6-speaker audio system, cloth upholstery
6-way manual driver seat, 4-way manual passenger seat, a manual liftgate and Ford Co-Pilot 360 Technology including, blind spot monitoring and rear-cross traffic alert.
Each Bronco Sport model come standard with a Terrain Management system with five G.O.A.T modes, go over any type of terrain. There’s also an advanced 4x4 system, 7 G.O.A.T modes and an off-road suspension which are standard on both the Badlands and Heritage Limited models. The Badlands trim also gets a 180-degree camera with split view.
Fuel economy for the 1.5 Ecoboost gets 9.3L/100 km, 25 MPG and 8.4L/100 km, 28 MPG. 2L Ecoboost 11.1L/100 km, 21 MPG and 9L/100 km , 26 MPG.
