It may seem as though our anger is created by what others have done or said, but it’s really not. If someone did something and you didn’t know about it (couldn’t think about it), then you wouldn’t feel it. After someone committed an action, in any moment that you don’t think about it, you don’t feel anger.

First, you have to recognize that your anger is created by your thoughts, and stop blaming your anger on others, and events.

It is because thoughts arise in your mind, and you unknowingly believe them and then act on them. You don’t pick what thoughts enter your mind, or whether you believe them. It just happens. You’re not in control. That means you’re not to blame.
