During his 23 years with McKinsey, Trond led a number of practices and initiatives, aimed at diversifying the Firm:

- Trond led the European Marketing and Sales Practice as well as the External Candidate Evaluation Committee.

- Furthermore, he was the Chair of the Global Consumer Institute, Chair of the Early Tenure Learning Board and a member of the Upper Tenure Principal Candidate Evaluation Committee.

- He also co-led the Expert Principal Council as well as the Global Practice Olympics, a knowledge competition aimed at energizing every consultant to develop knowledge valuable to our clients.

- His client leadership was centered around decade long transformative partnerships with Nordic institutions aiming for global leadership positions, across Consumer, Retail, Media, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Technology.

After leaving McKinsey in 2015, Trond has built a Venture and Advisory Company, TRK Group, in Oslo.

- Here, he focuses on supporting early stage tech growth companies with global ambitions. TRK Group has ownership in 60 + ventures, with a focus on disruptive technologies, digital services and marketplaces, as well as Ethiopia, where Trond was born.

- Trond spends significant time in Addis Abeba, where together with fellow McKinsey alumni, Marie Nielsen, he has built the only paper and packaging recycling business in Ethiopia, currently employing 7,600 people.

Trond has helped to launch the social impact accelerator Katapult, as well as the global talent incubator, Antler.

Trond is member of the board of Opera Software, Laerdal Medical, and The North Alliance, as well as an Advisory Board member of SpareBank 1 Markets and Laerdal Million Lives Fund.

Trond lives in Oslo with his wife and three children Carl(19), Camilla(17), and Cornelia(14), as well as their little dog Zoe.

Trond holds a Siv.ing. Degree from the Norwegian Institute of Technology, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
