Azoth 3D is a trusted, Michigan-based manufacturer known for producing small, complex metal parts. And they use additive technology like Markforged binder jetting to get the job done.

The team at Azoth used their binder jetting expertise to deliver for General Motors, one of the many customers they serve across the automotive, defense, and medical industries. They designed and produced a 3D printed medallion that sits on top of the manual shifter knob in their Cadillac Blackwing vehicles.

It’s the first 3D printed production component in a Cadillac.

“A lot of manufacturers in the additive industry, and additive equipment in its own right just hasn’t been able to do [that]. But Azoth, working with the Markforged team, has passed this milestone,” says General Manager, Cody Cochran.

By utilizing the Markforged Binder Jetting solution, Azoth 3D has been able to pass a full PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) on more than 40 parts, including safety critical components.
