How to install this aluminum trifold tunnel cover from Worksport. This is their AL3 Pro model. This is a low-profile hard trifold tunnel cover that is manufactured in the USA. It has a unique diamond shield finish that provides a great style while having excellent production against whatever elements are thrown at it. When folded like I have it now, it does have snap clips to keep it in place. It also features a cable-release quick latch for opening and closing. #sponsored #worksportArmy #Worksport #AL3PRO #TonneauCover #TruckLife #UpgradeYourTruck #MadeInTheUsa @WorksportLtd

Tools/Supplies Needed:
-10mm wrench
-clean rag
-wax and grease remover
-tape measure

Procedure:
Everything does come neatly packed. Almost everything needed to mount this on your truck is included in the box. The only extra item you’ll need is a 10 mm wrench.

First is using a clean rag and a wax and grease remover to clean the top portion of the box right behind the cab. I do have a textured bedliner in place, so extra care is needed to ensure it is clean and the gasket will stick. Then allow the cleaner to evaporate.

Expose a portion of the adhesive on the weatherstripping, then stick it down in place. I went slightly past the inside of the box on the outside edge of the bed rail. About 1/4” to 1/2”. This is applied to the closest part of the inside edge of the box. I did do a quick test fit with the new tonneau cover to check out what portions of the box are covered.

Now is installing the tonneau cover. It is centered from left to right first.

After that the tunnel cover is opened up and then the tailgate is closed. This will allow me to pick the perfect position for the tunnel cover.

Once satisfied with the position, then install the front retaining brackets. Loosen the knobs almost all the way, then insert the bolts into the retaining rail. There will be a portion notched out in the center where to start them, then move them all the way out to the edges to lock onto the side of the box.

There will be two, one needs to be installed on each side. If you were to remove the cover to use the full space of your bed, these can be loosened and retracted in only a minute.

Make sure these are tight and there is no light leakage between the top of your bed rail and the tunnel cover.

Now close the tunnel cover and the next step is installing the rear retaining brackets.

Loosen the socket head bolts on these brackets and then install where the latches are located.

Make sure the aluminum brackets are as high as they can go to ensure the brackets are seated correctly.

This may take a couple of times to go back-and-forth ensuring it is in the appropriate spot. The bracket should be centered with the latch on the cover. Then tighten those socket head bolts.

I measured the opposite side and then referenced it over to the opposite side. Again that bracket is installed, you may be required to make adjustments as needed.

The latches on the title cover are also adjustable, the two Phillips screws can be loosened and these can be slid in and out.

As a final step the height of the latch bracket will need to be adjusted. Use the 10 mm wrench to loosen the 10 mm nuts and then slide up or down. Do not use too much downward force on the tunnel cover as your tailgate still needs to close and this may cause interference.

You’ll need to do the same for the opposite side.

I did make one more adjustment with the latch assembly on the tall cover, I did find it was not easily locking down. So I moved the latch back slightly and this fix the problem.

Once done give the title cover a few test runs to ensure it is opening and closing properly.
