The 2024 Xpeng G9, launched on September 19, marks a significant step in Xpeng Motors' expansion into the European market, with deliveries commencing in several countries, including Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, and Sweden. Priced at a starting rate of 36,200 USD, this mid-size SUV is built on the new Smart Electric Platform Architecture (SEPA), featuring a full-range 800V silicon carbide architecture and supporting 315 kW power fast charging.

The G9 lineup offers five distinct models, each catering to different user preferences in terms of battery capacity, range, and power output. The 570 Pro and Max models boast a 78.4 kWh battery with a 570 km range, while the 702 Pro and Max feature a larger 98 kWh battery, extending the range to 702 km. The 650Max version stands out with dual-motor four-wheel drive capabilities and a total power output of 405 kW.

Distinguishing the Pro and Max versions are their assisted driving capabilities, with the Max models equipped with additional NVIDIA DRIVE Orin platforms, lidars, and sensors. Xpeng Motors has ambitious plans to expand its Xpeng City NGP smart driving system to 50 cities across China by the end of 2023, enhancing the driving experience in major cities like Guangzhou, Beijing, and Shanghai.

The 2024 Xpeng G9 introduces an exclusive AI assistant, Xiao P, offering features like continuous dialogue, rear interaction, and real-time online connectivity. The vehicle also features a multi-scenario cockpit with over 350 customizable functions, catering to various travel scenarios and enhancing user convenience.

Aesthetically, the exterior of the Xpeng G9 retains the X-BOT FACE 3.0 design language, with a closed grille and split headlights, and introduces new color options. The interior sees the introduction of a fresh “Qiyu Gray” color scheme, environmentally friendly Nappa leather upholstery, and a self-developed “Xopera 2.0 Xpeng Concert Hall” sound system, providing an immersive auditory experience.

The vehicle also incorporates an ultra-high-definition dual screen and an upgraded dual 50W air-cooled fast charging wireless charging panel.
