Jon preps the off-grid office root cellar so he can begin framing. In this episode, the natural stone steps are installed, providing access to the root cellar. The sewar main is laid to the septic tank. The lintel is treated with borax as a wood preservative and set across the block wall. Finally, the sill plates are installed, officially making the block wall ready for rim joists and the building's framing. Jon spends some time with his daughter, Autumn, foraging for wild ramps while enjoying the beautiful wilderness of Southwest Virginia.
