In this video we teach you how to reset the Echo Dot 4th Generation, which is the newest Amazon Echo device released in 2020. The 4th generation Echo Dot has a new design and a new spherical shape but maintains the same control interface as previous version echo dot devices.

To Reset The Echo Dot 4th Gen:
1. There are 4 buttons on the top of the Echo Dot. Two volume buttons, a mute button and the action button. The action button is the round button on the top of the Echo Dot.
2. Hold down the action button, for about 20 seconds until the echo device say's it is "resetting device". It will first say it is in setup mode, but you need to keep holding down the action button even after it says it's in setup mode, once the it says "resetting device" you can release the action button.
3. It then takes 1-2 minutes for the device to complete the reset process and once complete you will then hear the echo dot talk to you in several different languages telling you that it's ready to be setup.
