On November 8, 2023, a debate team from California State University Fullerton clashed over this issue with a team Fullerton College in a lively debate at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library using the Lincoln-Douglas format that features speeches and cross-examinations.

The debate was sponsored by the Pat Nixon Republican Women and takes place at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library.
