2025 Kia Tasman Unveiled - The New KING Of Pickup?!
--------------------------------
Get a first look at the 2025 Kia Tasman, the new king of pickup trucks! Unveil the sleek redesign and features of the Tasman series in this video.

The confirmation of the 2025 Kia Tasman marks Kia Australia's next move into the realm of dual-cab diesel utes, coming over a year after the trademark was filed. The name "Tasman" was anticipated, given Kia executives' hints to Australian media and its subtle appearance in a recent TV commercial.

Named after the Tasman Sea, situated between New Zealand and Australia and named after Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, the Tasman will compete with the likes of the Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger. Its introduction is expected in late 2024, with showroom appearances in Australia slated for mid-2025.

Equipped with a 2.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine, automatic transmission, and selectable four-wheel drive, the Tasman aims for a three-and-a-half-star ANCAP safety rating, a payload capacity of around a thousand kilograms, and a towing capacity matching the Ford Ranger's 3,500 kg.

The 2025 Kia Tasman marks Kia's entry into the pickup truck segment, positioned as a mid-size contender set to rival popular models like the Chevrolet Colorado, Toyota Hilux, and Ford Ranger. It will feature a body-on-frame chassis known for its durability and robustness.

Expected to offer a diesel engine as standard, the possibility of additional engine options, such as petrol or hybrid variants, remains open. Targeting markets in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, Kia has yet to disclose plans for US sales.

As the launch date draws nearer, Kia is likely to reveal more details about the Tasman's interior and technological features. Anticipated to offer a spacious, well-appointed cabin with advanced technology, the Tasman aims to make a significant impact in the competitive mid-size truck segment.
