Check out the brand new 2020 Corvette Stingray Convertible! We can take a first look at the open top C8 Corvette during the launch at the Kennedy Space Centre, where the cars arrive in style with a surprise launch of the new C8.R racecar too. Could this be a car to buy as a Shmeemobile that lives in the USA?!

At the launch of the new 8th generation Corvette Stingray, the first ever with a mid-engine configuration, the world stopped to take notice. Offering 495bhp, supercar looks, and an incredible package with a start price of $60,000, it continued the Corvette legacy while also retaining a 6.2l naturally aspirated V8. The Convertible follows up with a retractable hard top powered by 6 electric motors that tucks under the rear tonneau cover in 16 seconds while on the move up to 30mph.

At a special event to pay tribute to their long NASA association, the newest model is launched at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida at a private event where we get to see it in person for the first time. The two Convertibles arrive to be joined by the new C8.R racecar and that gives us an opportunity to hear it, see the roof in action, and have a proper look around.
