In this video we will be hacking the Apple TV 1st Generation in possibly the most ambitious project using the Apple tv first generation ever. I will show you an external GPU (eGPU) connected to the 1st generation Apple tv (Apple tv 1G). You can see it being used in Linux playing Minecraft and GTA San Andreas.
You will see the full process to get this working using an EXP GDC Beast eGPU.
A later one will show you how I got a recent Debian working on here without using OSMC. This mod might enable the apple tv 1st gen to playback full hd or even 4K or 8K content. Maybe we can connect a RTX 3090?
I also want to use this setup to connect to the ActionRetro MC Server at some point in time. #Appletv #egpu
Example kexec command to start antiX:
kexec -l antiX/vmlinuz --initrd=antiX/initrd.gz --append=root=/dev/sdc1 --command-line="quiet splasht disable=lxF"
