Once upon a time, I went to the Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto. I proceeded to frolic through Victorian Era Canada like I was Anne of Green Gables. I also had to take a moment to ponder the nature of the word pioneer, Indigenous acknowledgement and Little House on the Prairie's interesting legacy.
