Well worth the visit, we were lucky and turned up for their 400th run, so there was cake. Which made me happy. The route is an out and back in the very pretty Belleek Woods, with some interesting sights along the course, such as the SS Crete Boom, a concrete ship dating back to the First World War.

There is parking and facilities at Ballina FC's grounds, which also happens to be pretty close to the start.

Ballina town is close by, and we spent the rest of the day happily exploring it after the parkrun.
