Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Demco eZ-Latch 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler for a 2 5/16 inch diameter ball. This has a 21,000 pound capacity, and it has a nice silver powder coat finish. Now this A-Frame ball coupler will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. Provides a connection point up here for your 2 5/16 diameter hitch ball.

Does use the eZ-Latch mechanism as you can see. It's a corrosion-proof composite latch handle which ensures safe, secure hookup and disconnect. And what's nice about it, what makes it an eZ-Latch, is it'll let you hook up when the latch is in the closed position like it is now. Just drop the coupler over the hitch ball, and the latch will snap into place. And just to demonstrate that, I happen to pull, here's a 2 5/16 diameter hitch ball.

So you can see if we just put that over there, and if you push down, (metal clanking) you can see once it goes enough pressure, it goes right onto the ball. The latch rose up and locked into place. And just like that, you can see, you connect it. And to remove it, just flip open the latch, and it removes just like that from the ball. So, very easy to connect and disconnect.

And what's nice about this eZ-Latch, it's a nice sleek, low-profile design. So it will allow any hazards to just simply slip over the top of the coupler preventing damage to the latch components. And another thing with this is, unlike most couplers, which will have a pinhole on the handle latch to lock it, this eZ-Latch coupler, if you notice, has a 5/16 diameter hole that goes all the way through to the other side. And that's for your coupler lock. So you just insert your coupler lock through that hole, and it keeps that latch from lifting or preventing disconnect and theft.

The coupler locks, we do sell separately on our website. The pin hole size is 5/16 of an inch, and the minimum span that's needed for the pin lock to fit is 2 1/2 inches. This is a nice sturdy steel construction. As you can see, it has a nice silver powder coat finish on it, gives you excellent corrosion resistance, meets a 500-Hour salt spray rating, and it is great for marine applications. If you notice right up here at the top, the hole in it, this is a built-in jack attachment point, allows for a quick easy mounting of your round utility jack. This cutout is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. So it will fit the jacks that have the 2 1/4 inch diameter outer tube. The chain anchors. If we spin this around, you can see right down here these chain anchors. These are on the underside of the coupler. So when you install this on your trailer, gives you a point to where you can connect your safety chains to. It is a bolt-on installation. Application, again, this will fit 50-degree A-frame trailers, fits onto a ball size of 2 5/16 inch diameter, and has a weight capacity of 21,000 pounds. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Demco eZ-Latch 50-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler for a 2 5/16 inch diameter ball with a 21,000 pound weight capacity.
