The Sherpas are scattered along both sides of the Himalayas, primarily residing in Nepal, with a small number living in China, India, and Bhutan. In the China Tibet, there are only around 2,000 Sherpas, residing in the Zhangmu and Chentang Gully beneath the Himalayas on the southwestern border of China Tibet. In this video, JamYang personally takes you to visit the Sherpas in Tibet, witnessing how this unique yet vulnerable ethnic group thrives and lives for generations under the mist-shrouded and secluded foothills of the Himalayas. Due to the already sparse population of Sherpas decreasing each year, it is possible that in a few years, you may no longer find their existence on Earth. If you are interested in visiting this disappearing tribe and experience their pure and unique life, please do plan about 10 days in Tibet and do contact me at [email protected] , I will take you there.

About Me - Jamyang

I am Jamyang, and I have been working as a tour guide with Tibet Vista Tour for 15 years. In 2020, during the Covid-19 global pandemic, I lost my job of being a tour guide, with the support of the company, I immersed myself in filming videos and documenting the culture of Tibet. My goal is to share the beautiful landscapes of Tibet, Tibetan culture, and the genuine and enchanting lifestyle of the local Tibetans with people around the world who love and care about my beloved hometown Tibet. If you plan to visit Tibet, be sure to get in touch with me. I can show you the best and most authentic Tibet.
