Performing a cover of a song that took me back to my childhood and my video chats with Jodi Benson with an Ariel doll in hand felt incredibly liberating. She is my favorite Disney Princess and one of the first characters I connected with so naturally, "Part of Your World" holds a special place in my heart. Being told not to buy dolls and figurines in my teen years stunted my self-esteem a little, but when I took photography classes in college, I found a new use for my old toys and now, every summer, I bring them to the shore to tell myself silly fanfics and take pictures of the scenes. Occasionally, I add a new addition to my collection if I can afford it. Sometime at a later date, when I'm in a better place, I'll share them on my Behance portfolio. :)

Fun Fact About Horseshoe Crabs; these living fossils aren't real crabs, but they are closely related to spiders and scorpions. Unlike their venomous relatives, horseshoe crabs are harmless creatures, though sometimes I get a little nervous holding one. Sadly, they are a vulnerable species and it's rare to see them wash ashore. It's what compelled me to give a horseshoe crab I spotted on a walk a cameo in my cover of the song's reprise.
