This Tram Square is 1 of 2 remaining Tram Squares on Melbourne’s Metropolitan Network, the other being Riversdale Rd, Camberwell. This crossing is manually controlled by a Signaller in a Signal Box, adjacent to the Level Crossing.

This crossing features a mixture of Westinghouse branded Incandescent and LED signals, Safetran boom gate mechanisms, and General Signals E-bells (which replaced the previous Westinghouse Hybrid Bells).

This crossing has not been listed on the Victorian Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP), so this crossing will remain for the foreseeable future.
