Featured is the game between Leonid Yudasin and Garry Kasparov from the 1981 USSR Championship. After Yudasin’s f4 in a Sicilian Najdorf, Kasparov secures e5 while also welcoming multiple imbalances. By move 9, Kasparov has a compromised kingside structure but is in possession of the bishop pair. A time sensitive position ensues where initiative would be king. Observe how Garry Kasparov, the Beast from Baku, makes excellent use of his bishops through key pawn play in this instructive 24-move encounter.

I'm a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
