Differences between cat 5 cable and Cat 6 cable.
Cat 5 and cat 6 cables are both networking cables but they are different in terms of physical make up and characteristics.
Cat 5 cables are made of just the 4 pair conductors. They are susceptible to electromagnetic interference when placed close to each other in close adjacency, leading to data loss in the cables.
Cat 6 cables have an internal plastic separator that helps in preventing electromagnetic interference and cross talk that happens in cat 5 cables
The two cables have differences in the following areas:
1. The speed of data transmission
2. The bandwidth that each of them have for data transmission
3. Ability to withstand data loss.
