Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are often seen in kids with bowel and bladder dysfunction (urgency, frequency, urinary incontinence). "Holders," kids that hold their urine or stool, are often at risk.

About 80% of kids are helped through education on emptying their bladder and bowels. If UTIs are associated with fever or back pain, a further workup is required.
