Daniel Lacalle presents his thoughts on "Monetary imbalances and the risk of central bank digital currencies", arguing that money creation is never neutral, disproportionally benefitting governments, and that excess money creation during the covid pandemic was responsible for the following high inflation. Furthermore, the introduction of CBDC's will make the transmission of monetary policy more immediate and therefore risk creating inflation faster.
