We have an epic megalodon tooth hunting spot near Charleston South Carolina. It has produced a plethora of fossils, including teeth from all kinds of extinct sharks, from the tiniest hound shark to the giant white shark Megalodon. We found fossilized remains of other marine creatures such as rays, fish, porpoise, dolphins, dugongs, and whales. There are ice age land mammal fossils here also. We have found horse, tapir, extinct elephants including mammoth, mastodon, and gomphotherium, and giant sloth. Diva called the spot Sloth Party because we found so many sloth teeth at the spot, and the variety of finds sure does make it seem like a party from back in the day. The sheer quantity of megalodon teeth has been what makes this spot so special, at least in the context of this video. When we first stepped foot into this place, I never could have imagined the treasures it contained. Early on though I realized that there were a bunch of meg teeth here so I started keeping count. Over the months of digging the count started climbing and today I hit number one hundred, and that doesn’t even include all the megs Diva found, which you can see on her @AncientAdventures channel. This video is a celebration of the march towards 100 meg teeth - watch as I recover each tooth from the ancient ocean floor, exposed by modern excavation. This is not the end, just a milestone. The count is going to climb higher as we continue to hunt this location of locations, the current leader in the race of my lifetime for the best megalodon tooth hunting spot ever.
