If you're new to the Channel Welcome! We love the outdoors and adventure travel. It's who we are! We're also passionate about tractors, tools, and trucks. Come hang out with us and please consider Subscribing!

We recently purchased a new @crescent-kayaks Crew in Moonrock for our Jeep Gladiator Overland Adventures. Many of my kayaking buddies have paddled the Crew for years. This one is going to be well traveled and put to the test! I've paddled several kayaks from a Budget Pelican to Dagger, Perception, Vibe, and others. Crescent is quickly becoming a popular option from kayak fishing to just getting out on the water. Their boats are extremely stable, and I like that the crew is quickly transferred from a solo kayak to a tandem kayak in just a few minutes. The crew also has one of the highest weight carrying capacities around.

We'll be doing several kayaking videos in the future, and hopefully see some of you at either the meetup scheduled in August, @greatsmokymountainjeepinva532 or @OverlandExpo East.

I really like grass roots events, where people can just hang out and share build ideas.

Check out our: Epic Cross Country Trip covering 5,000 Miles, across 12 States, in only 13 Days. We hit Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska on our way out to Wyoming. On the Way Back to Georgia after spending some time in Cody Wyoming to see, Yellowstone, the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum of the west, and visit the Buffalo Bill State Park we passed through the Big Horn Mountains and went to Devil's Tower. We also took the opportunity to visit Mount Rushmore as we passed through South Dakota, as well as stopping in at the Wall Drug Store. We made our way back through Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and drove past the home of Laura Ingalls Wilder Author of Little House on the Prairie amongst other works. We crossed late into the night through Arkansas into Memphis, and on to Mississippi. Our final leg took us through Alabama and back across Georgia to the East Coast.

This trip took us to many different places and each day was an adventure. There was simply too much to share in the time we had.

The Build:

Suspension: It took me a little over a year to select the right kit for my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, and it really controls the ride even when fully loaded!

For my personal setup, I chose to go with the @ClaytonOffRoad 3.5" Overland Plus Kit. They have a great reputation. James was super helpful when deciding between the HD Springs or the Normal Springs. I'm extremely happy going with the HD springs and know that I'll be able to fully load the Gladiator out in the future with the load carrying capacity to grow! I also went with the @GoRanchoSuspension RS9000XL Shocks.

I've driven the Jeep now for about 5,000 miles, and the Rancho Clayton Combo is really spot on. I'm cruising around city and gravel roads on as little as setting 3 front and rear currently, although you can jump back up to level 4 or 5. The Great thing about the Rancho Shocks is you have 9 different levels to play around with to find the best ride for you at a budget price! I'd love to install a full set of the Rancho RockGear in the future.

Like most of you, I don't have a lift, and did this in my driveway with the help of my @harborfreight Badland Offroad Jack, and the full line of @MilwaukeeTool M12 Fuel Tools including the M12 Ratchet, M12 Fuel Ratchet, M12 Fuel Stubby Impact, M12 Fuel Hackzall (sawzall), M12 Fuel right angle impact, some Craftsman wrenches, Flexible gear wrenches, dead blow hammer, and several other Metric and SAE tools from Husky, Dewalt, Icon, and others.

My tools and off road jack travel with me on my trips as added insurance.
