Romans 15:13, Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 1:18, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

We lose hope when we put our faith and confidence in the wrong source. Hope is drained when we put our confidence and trust in resource rather than The Source. When our trust and faith are in God our hearts abound in hope. Joy and peace are our portion because, in God, our best years are always ahead of us, and our assurance comes from the certainty and the power of His resurrection. We have nothing to fear from our past and nothing to dread in our future. Jesus, our Saviour, has dealt with our past and has made a way into our future. So, may hope abound in our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit.
