Running a 50 year old VW Type 2 as a daily driver isn't really working out so I need something more modern, but still something I can use for wedding hire.

The 9C 'New' Beetle has all the signs of becoming a modern classic so I've jumped in before prices rise. Based on the MK4 Golf it has a good platform to start with, but these are know for electrical faults and other problems.

How will I get on with it, and what needs doing from the start?
