Prepare Garlic Flatbread Using Liquid Dough in Just 5 Minutes!
Ingredients for 4 flatbreads:
- Finely chopped garlic: 5 grams (0.18 oz)
- All-purpose flour: 150 grams (5.3 oz)
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- Finely chopped green onion: 5 grams (0.18 oz)
- Parsley: 10 grams (0.36 oz)
- Water: 300 ml (10.1 fl oz)
Not every flatbread will inflate perfectly. To increase the chances of success, stick to the following tips.
1. Maintain a flour-to-water ratio of 1:2.
2. Whisk the mixture until small bubbles appear on the surface. I whisk the mixture until bubbling before each addition of the mixture to the pan.
3. Selecting the correct frying temperature is crucial. On my hob with 6 modes, I commence frying at level 3, taking approximately 1-1.5 minutes. Following that, I flip the flatbread and fry for an additional minute or so.
Once both sides of the flatbread are fried, I flip it again and increase the temperature to 4 of 6, occasionally even 5 of 6, to encourage puffing. Be careful not to let it burn. Continue frying the flatbread for a few more minutes, flipping it every 20-30 seconds.
Every cooker is different, you may have to experiment a bit before you find the right temperature.
4. Sometimes I press down on the flatbread with a spatula to help it rise better.
It's recommended to enjoy the flatbreads right after they're cooked.
