- Artist: Victor Ehikhamenor a Nigerian-American multidisciplinary visual artist and writer, and GUQ's first artist-in-residence.
- Title: For Those Who Slept in the Dark with Identifiable Ghosts
- Details: Charcoal, graphite, and acrylic on tent canvas (14 feet width x10 feet length)
- Year: 2023

In our effort to offer both academic and artistic perspectives, GUQ offered its first artist-in-residence position to Victor Ehikhamenor. He created the artwork onsite at the GUQ campus over a 2-week period. It was exhibited at Msheireb Museums Company House during our joint forum on "Global Energy Cultures: How Energy Shapes Our Everyday Lives" on December 9-10, 2023.

This artwork uses charcoal, graphite, and acrylic on tent canvas, and engages with sustainable materials to provide commentary on the fragility of the current ecosystem. Ehikhamenor’s work advocates for a balanced ecological approach to energy production and consumption, and takes into consideration engagement with the GUQ community, students and faculty, and Msheireb Museums curators.
