Former US President Donald Trump has hugged a supporter during a surprise visit to Chick-fil-A on Wednesday.

Shortly after Trump landed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, he paid a visit to a local Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Despite the huge crowd, Trump took the time to speak with his supporters coming in to take a photo with the former president.

One of Trump’s supporters was heard saying “I love you”, before shaking the former president’s hand.

The former president’s trip comes as he continues his presidential campaign fundraising tour following his hugely successful fundraiser in Florida, where he raised over $US50 million.
